Fireside Lodge began in 1998 as a small cedar log furniture shop nestled among the forests and lakes of northern Minnesota. What started local soon reached lodges, resorts, and homes across North America — all built with the same care, authenticity, and pride. Family-owned by Brandon and Jill Andersen since 2003, Fireside Lodge has grown steadily and purposefully. From our early cedar and hickory pieces to reclaimed barnwood, circle-sawn pine, and now our Heartland Walnut Collection, we’ve evolved — but never lost sight of what matters: creating furniture that connects people to nature, home, and one another.
Nestled among the forests and lakes of Minnesota, our 35,000 square foot workshop is where our craftspeople ply their trade: creating beautiful, heirloom-quality furniture that will last for generations to come.
Pride in craftsmanship is ingrained into every item starting with hand-peeled logs and individually selected reclaimed barnwood timbers, all the way to the last touch up of stain or fastening of hardware. Old world methods combined with today’s latest technologies truly results in rustic furniture for your modern world.
As a builder of solid-wood furniture, we rely on good old Mother Nature for everything we create. That makes it our duty to pay special attention to making environmentally-responsible decisions. Whether that is choosing low VOC and non-toxic stains and finishes or operating as close to zero-waste as possible, we have made a commitment to operate with the future in mind.
Here are just a few of the ways we honor our commitment:
In our 55,000-square-foot Minnesota workshop, you’ll find the perfect blend of old-world craftsmanship and modern precision. Our artisans handcraft each piece, combining traditional techniques with advanced CNC and RF glue machinery for consistent, heirloom-quality results.
Respect for nature guides everything we do. We generate as much power as we use with our solar panels, heat our facility with wood waste, and turn cedar peelings into mulch. Our reclaimed barnwood gives new life to old structures, and our low-VOC finishes ensure our furniture is safe for your home. Even our wool-blend fabrics — made from recycled clothing fibers — reflect our commitment to a cleaner, smarter future. Nothing wasted. Everything with purpose.
Wooded River and Big House Fabrics — round out the Fireside family. Together, we offer one of the most complete selections of furniture, textiles, and upholstery in the industry — giving our customers endless ways to create distinctive, lasting designs.
